|Tournafulla ("Tuar na Fola" in Irish) is a village in the South west of
County Limerick ,Ireland , situated near the townsAbbeyfeale andNewcastle West , South ofTempleglantine and west ofKileedy .Tournafulla is a long single street Village. It has a RC Church and one Pub, A GAA Field.
*Locally: Its biggest claim is that it is the longest village in Ireland and the third longest linear village in Europe. There is no official record of this.The three counties of Limerick, Cork and Kerry converge at a point in the parish of Tournafulla/
Mountcollins . A plaque has been placed at theRiver Feale to mark this point. Within a few miles of the parish are the villages ofRockchapel ,County Cork , andBrosna ,County Kerry , which is the Converging Point of the three counties.The Irish for Tournafulla is Tuar na Fola that translates as the "Animal Enclosure of the Blood". This is in reference to a battle where blood was spilled. Tournafulla is surrounded by hills to the north and the
Mullaghareirk Mountains to the south. Woods covered most of Tournafulla until the 17th century.Wind Turbine sAirtricity installed 18 turbines, 27 MW wind farm in TournafullaCounty Limerick which was installed in two phases between 2006 and 2008.Phase one consists of a 5 turbine, 7.5 MW wind farm which will provide power for over 4,500 homes, mitigating around 20,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum.
Phase two consists of a further 13 turbines which will provide power for over 10,000 homes, mitigating around 44,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum.

On Saturday 14-June-2008, Tournafulla Wind Farm had an open day for the Public. The Public got to visit the wind farm and discover how wind turbines work.
