Hifiklub is a rock band from
Toulon (Provence ,Occitania ,France ) which claims various other influences such asblues . Its members also connect their musical creativity with strong involvement in other artistic fields like cinema,design andarchitecture .Hifiklub's permament members are Laugier a.k.a. Régis Laugier (bass and lead vocals), Benito a.k.a. Luc Benito (drums and backing vocals) and Morcillo a.k.a. Nicolas Morcillo (guitar and backing vocals). An ex-member was Philippe Dias, who was replaced by Morcillo in 2007.
Occasional members are
Earl Slick ,Paulo Furtado , Plain Jane, Robert Aaron and Michael Beckett.Hifiklub appeared with its current project in
2006 , following up the former group Hi Fi Killers.The first volume of Hifiklub's project, "French Accent", was coproduced in
2006 inNew York with the contribution ofEarl Slick (solo artist andDavid Bowie 's musician) and was recorded with his participation and also withPaulo Furtado (The Legendary Tiger Man ), Robert Aaron (Fischerspooner ), Dead Combo,Skerik and Michael Beckett (Schneider TM ) among others.External links
