Turin which currently houses the Museum of the Risorgimento.Building
In the second half of the XVII century Emanuele Filiberto commissioned
Guarino Guarini to design a palace for his family. The building, constructed in brick in a typicalBaroque style, has an elliptical center façade. The decorations over the windows of thepiano nobile recall the campaign of the Carignano family with the French against theIroquois in1667 .History
From
1848 to1861 the palace was used for the House of Deputies of the Subalpine Parliament. In 1861, with the new Italian parliament, the room was too small to host the House of Deputies.Trivia
