Descartes Medal in Cognitive Studies

Awarded by the Descartes Institute of the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CADS), the Descartes Medal in Cognitive Studies is the Institute’s highest formal recognition of accomplishment. It is offered in recognition of extraordinary achievement in advancing the application of scientific and mathematical concepts to the understanding of terrorism, political violence, and security.

*2006: Dr. Vladimir Lefebvre, in recognition of his lifetime achievements in mathematical psychology.
