Froydis Ree Wekre (born 1941 in
Oslo ) is a Norwegianmusician . She studied inOslo ,Sweden ,Russia , and theUnited States . After only two years of studying horn with Wilhelm Lansky-Otto and Vitali Bujanovsky, she was invited to join theNorwegian Opera Orchestra [Philips, Harvey, ed. The Instrumentalist, August 1991] . She obtained a post with theOslo Philharmonic Orchestra in1961 , where she became co-principal horn in 1965.
