Deane Winthrop

Deane Winthrop

Deane Winthrop (1623-1704) was the son of the first Governor of Massachusetts, John Winthrop. His house still stands today in Winthrop, Massachusetts.

Winthrop's 1675 house is one of the oldest inhabited houses in the United States. Located at 40 Shirley Street, the Deane Winthrop House is a registered National Historic Site.
