Nevin Barich

Nevin Barich (born August 6, 1979) is a former American sports journalist now working as the Online Real Estate Business Editor for Forestweb, a global news service based in Los Angeles, Calif., that caters to numerous Fortune 500 clients, including Exxon Mobil, Mitsubishi and Boise Cascade.

At Forestweb, Barich uses the company's unique binding and streamlining technology to provide major corporate clients with the real estate news, trends and data that specifically relates to their business. Barich assists these clients with understanding the current climate of the various sectors, allowing them to make informed business decisions based on present market climate.

Previously, Barich worked for more than six years as a sportswriter and copy editor for the "Daily News of Los Angeles". After working as a freelancer at the newspaper for nearly two years, Barich was made an official member of the "Daily News" staff in 1998 at the age of 18, becoming the youngest Editorial staff member in the newspaper's history. Barich covered a variety of high school, collegiate and professional sports during his "Daily News" tenure, including the newspaper's coverage of the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.

Barich left the Daily News in 2003 to become Senior Editor of "The National Notary", a trade magazine based in Los Angeles with a circulation of more than 300,000 nationwide. At "The National Notary", Barich oversaw all of the organization's many electronic publications and facilitated Editorial Web content on such topics as identity theft, mortgage fraud, the real estate market and notarization. During Barich's tenure, the magazine's circulation grew at an astonishing rate of 67% in just four years. He left "The National Notary" in November 2007 to focus exclusively on the online realm.

In 2001, Barich received the prestigious Allan Malamud Scholarship, an award given annually to the top collegiate Jewish sportswriter in California. Barich graduated from California State University Northridge in 2001 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, and has recently launched a new blog site: nevdogg.blogspot.com
