- Etienne Léandri
Étienne Leandri (1915-1995) was an intermediary close to
Charles Pasqua . He took part in the negotiations concerning many important international contracts, and has represented, among others, the interests ofElf ,Thomson CSF andDumez .Under the regime of Vichy, Leandri wore the uniform of the
Gestapo . However, he was protected by theCIA after the Liberation, and became, alongside Pasqua, one of the founder of theGaullist "Service d'action civique " (SAC) in 1958. This organization, charged of underground operations for the Gaullist movement, was dissolved in 1982 after the Auriol massacre, by Socialist PresidentFrançois Mitterrand .Leandri has been involved in various
political scandal s, such as theSofremi affair , for which Pasqua has been indicted, or the affair concerning the moving of the headquarters of theGEC -Alsthom Transport firms (for which Pasqua has also been indicted).
