Rhagus

Rhagus

In Greek mythology, Rhagus was a son of Pierus king of Emathia. When his brother Hyacinthus was accidentally killed by Apollo, Rhagus was grief-stricken and burnt down the god's holy grove. Apollo in response transformed him into a weed, a lowly contrast to his brother's beautiful gay flower.
