- Lián Amaris Sifuentes
Lián Amaris Sifuentes is a
performance artist , new media artist,scholar , and Assistant Professor of Drama and Dance atColorado College . Her BA is from theUniversity of Massachusetts , MA from the Department ofPerformance Studies atNew York University (NYU), where she studied withRichard Schechner and Diana Taylor, and an MPS from theInteractive Telecommunications Program at NYU, where she was a researcher forDouglas Rushkoff . Prior to her current faculty appointment she was on the faculty of the Trinity / La Mama program inNew York City .Sifuentes' work as a performer focuses on interculturalism, gender roles,
hybridity andpopular culture . She has performed at a number of internationally recognized venues for experimental performance, including PS 122 and Richard Foreman'sOntological-Hysteric Theater .Notable works
