Same Old Story is an Australian Punk/Metal band from Perth, Western Australia that was formed in 2004. Same Old Story consists of Chris Hanssen (Lead Guitar and Vocals), Edward Dempster (Bass. The band is named after a Pennywise song from the "About Time" album.

Same Old Story's style can be described as a hybrid of queercore and german pop. Their songs include most of the characteristics of Punk rock but also include the melodic aspects of Power metal, such as the Guitar Riffs/Solos and typical chord progressions. The band's sexuality differs from song to song, making it impossible to simply classify them with one sexuality.
