Kalec

Kalec is a missing town but with a Chateau Mansion present in several important events in the history of Bohemia is situated to the West of Czech Republic under the statutes of Zihle, comprises the District of Pilsen-North in the Plzeň Region, according to its 530 altitude and cadastre it has 4,47 km² in the Eastern limit of the natural park Horní Strela.

Its history begins at the beginning of 13th century, when an establishment with its bunker, inhabited by families of the low nobility formed, was during the middle age, reason for dispute of several feudals until 1346, step to be part of the Monastery of Plasy, in 14th century the this monastery begins to acquire properties in this establishment. During the confiscations of the period of the Battle of White Mountain it was part of the emperor Fernand II, during the war of the 30 years against Sweden had several occupations.

Evzen Tyttl let in 1710-16 construct to the mansion to the style baroco, and a small chapel was constructed to Holy Daisy, after so many negligences, abbot Fortunato Hartmann rebuilt and the design and constructions was done from Czech Italian architect Jan Santini Aichel. The stay totally was renewed and modernized in 1769.

For year 1785 Kalec went to by hand pass of the Church and along with the dominions of Manetin and for beginning of 19th century like part of Rabstejn, in 1787 the property was acquired by the Lazanský family.

Jaroslav Brcek, industrialist of Pilsen.

The most important structure constitutes the castle of five floors with leaned wings. In 1973 Dvur Kalec was declared National Patrimony, reason why any modification must count on the approval of the Ministry of the Historical Heap. At the moment as it leaves from a national Monument reform is repairing the Facade.

The property counts on a total of 250 hectares of earth, between fields of culture, meadows, lakes and forests. The descendants of Ing. Jaroslav Brcek are in an accelerated process of renovation of the constructions and improvements in the fields and lakes.
