The Bucharest Bible ( _ro. Biblia de la Bucureşti; also known as the Cantacuzino Bible) was the first complete translation of the Bible in the Romanian language, published in Bucharest in 1688. Originally written in the Cyrillic alphabet, its full title was "Biblia adecă Dumnezeiasca Scriptură a Vechiului şi Noului Testament" ("The Bible or the Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testament"). Its translators were the Greceanu brothers (Radu and Şerban), and it was printed in Wallachia with assistance from the country's ruler, Prince Şerban Cantacuzino (1678-1688). This Bible version constituted a cornerstone in the development of written Romanian, and was for long the standard one used by the Romanian Orthodox Church.
