Loren Stokes

Loren Stokes (born November 12 1983) is an American professional basketball player. He was a senior combo guard at Hofstra University. He is 6'3" and weighs 175 lbs. Stokes is one of only five players in Hofstra Pride history to score at least 2,000 points, amassing 2,148 points over his four year career. Stokes was eligible for the 2007 NBA Draft, he went undrafted but was offered an invitation to play in the Orlando Magic summer league. Loren Stokes is currently playing basketball in Cyprus for APOEL.

Tony Skinn incident

In the CAA conference tourney in March 2006, Tony Skinn was boxing out with Stokes. Then, Skinn threw a punch into his groin and sent him to the bench with an ice pack on his lap. Skinn was later suspended for George Mason's 1st Round game against Michigan State. Ironically, Skinn was Stokes' teammate during the Summer League.

Personal

Stokes attended Turner-Carroll High School in Buffalo, New York, after his 4 years there, he was prepped during the 2002-2003 season at St. Thomas More. Stokes has an infant son and daughter.
