TIC Summer Camp, or simply TIC, is an ACA-accredited
summer camp inBethesda, Maryland , andMcLean, Virginia , in theUnited States .History
Karen Rosenbaum, Ph.D., founded Technology Instruction Corporation (TIC) in 1982. TIC has been accredited by ACA for all of its 25 years, and is licensed as a camp by the state of Maryland. TIC has a full time health care provider, a doctor on call, and many staff members are certified in First Aid and CPR.
Logistics
TIC features four two-week sessions at two sites in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Campers spend half their time working with technology and the other half participating in athletics.
Campers can choose from a variety of technology options: programming, video, web, robotics, newspaper, animation, music (midi), photography and more. The most popular technology option is programming, especially using Microworlds Logo.
TIC Maryland is also the founder of Spartan Ball.
