Ice Pool Non Directional Beacon is a radio navigation aid for aviation; abbreviated ICW. It is owned by the City of Nenana and operated by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Location

Ice Pool is located on field at the Nenana Municipal Airport, Nenana, Alaska at 64°32'44.49" North latitude, 149°04'36.774" West longitude. The elevation of the beacon is 361 feet above sea level. Both the Ice Pool NDB and the Nenana Municipal Airport are located in the Fairbanks area Sectional Chart

Operation

Ice Pool transmits a morse code broadcast (.. -.-. .--) on 525KHz. It operates 24 hours per day with a power of 25 watts.
