The Grønland area contains stores carrying goods from all over the world, as well as mosques, bars and multi-cultural restaurants. In the recent times Grønland has become rather trendy and popular with continuously rising pricing on apartments. Grønland is regarded as one of the more up and coming parts of the city, especially with the coming new borough of
Bjørvika and the new Opera nearby.The price of
beer in pubs and bars is much cheaper in Grønland than in most other Oslo bars, typically about 40 percent less.
