- Atlantic Motorsport Park
Atlantic Motorsport Park was built in 1974. Occupying a convert|377|acre|km2|1|sing=on site, it is a 2.5km (1.6 mile) 11 turn road circuit. It has been a regular host for a variety of regional and national motorsports events on both two and four wheels. It is located approximately 40-50 minutes North of Halifax, Nova Scotia just outside of the town of
Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia .History
AMP has hosted notable auto racing categories, including
Formula Atlantic in the 1970s. The Unofficial lap record of 59.8 seconds was set in an Atlantic car by famous Canadian racing legendGilles Villeneuve . The circuit also featured the Canadian Honda Civic challenge in the 1980s, and to this day hosts a round of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship every August.Links
