EuroChallenge (called the FIBA Europe League from 2003-2005 and the FIBA EuroCup from 2005-2008) [ [http://www.ulebcup.com/ulebcup/home/news/i/33556/448/item ULEB, FIBA Europe announce new competitions names, formats - News - Welcome to Eurocup ] ] is the top Men's Basketball competition directly run by FIBA Europe. The competition was created in 2003 following the defection of several top European basketball teams from the former European Champions' Cup which heralded the formation of the Euroleague under the umbrella of ULEB.
