Samizdata

Samizdata

Samizdata [derived from Samizdat, a system of clandestine publication of banned literature in the USSR] is a group weblog with contributors from the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia. [ [http://samizdata.net/ Samizdata.net] ] Originally named Libertarian Samizdata, it has dropped the adjective as it was no longer fully representative of its editors' position.

The editors describe Samizdata.net as "a blog for people with a critically rational individualist perspective. We are developing the social individualist meta-context for the future. From the very serious to the extremely frivolous..." [ [http://www.samizdata.net/blog/ Samizdata.net - main blog] ]

The Guardian claimed that it was "by some measures the nation's most successful independent blog". [ [http://technology.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,16559,1644361,00.html The new commentariat] , The Guardian, Thursday November 17, 2005]
