A. C. McClurg was a Chicago based publisher made famous by their original publishing of the Tarzan of the Apes novels and other stories of Edgar Rice Burroughs.

McClurg was originally Jansen, McClurg & Company, and successed Griggs in bookselling within Chicago, and is still a leading wholesaler and retailer.[1]

In 1889, McClurg was a founding member of the American Publishers Association.[2]
