Philip L. Barlow, a
Harvard -trained professor oftheology and American religious history, has been named the country's first full-time professor ofMormon studies at a secular university.Utah State University chose Barlow for theLeonard J. Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture. He was the president of theMormon History Association from 2005–2006.
