Music video

The song's video was directed by Scott Franklin and was recorded by MTV, the band's first music video off the green screen.

It starts with a sign reading "POOL CLOSED" and shows that the pool is refilling water. The band eventually gets in the gates and throws the sign down, making it flip and read "POOL OPEN". Some kids see them and start running to the empty pool. The band starts to play the song, using buckets, mops and other left-over items as instruments. Just before Nat Wolff says the line "we've got the music in our hearts" the left-over items turn into real instruments and the pool is full of water somehow overflowing the spot where the band is performing. The other kids jump in the pool while the band plays the song. At the end of the video, the pool is empty, just like the start of the video. The band's instruments have turned back into the left-over items again and the band starts throwing and kicking them.
