21 December 1920 , as a retrospective award forBoer veterans of theAnglo-Boer War (1899-1902). The ribbon was issued, on application, to veterans who had been wounded on active service during the war. It was worn on the uniform, mounted like a medal ribbon.The colours are red, green, white, yellow, and blue.
