Abeer MacIntyre

Abeer MacIntyre (née Parkes) is a regular presenter on BBC Radio Scotland's "Newsdrive" programme. She also occasionally presents BBC Scotland's weekend "Reporting Scotland" edition on BBC One Scotland.

Career

Abeer Macintyre joined the BBC from commercial radio in 1990. She worked as a journalist and presenter of the breakfast programme for BBC Radio Leicester for four years before moving to BBC Scotland to present Good Morning Scotland, the station's flagship breakfast programme. Since then she has worked on Reporting Scotland both as a Reporter and Presenter. She is also part of the drivetime radio team presenting Newsdrive. In her 14 years in Scotland, she has done a three month network attachement as Scotland reporter, presented Newsnight Scotland, the Frontline investigative programme and worked as Health Correspondent.

Personal Life

She is married to fellow Radio Scotland reporter, Kenny MacIntyre and has three children.
