Semhar

Semhar is the name of a former Province of Eritrea, which has now become almost entirely incorporated into the Northern Red Sea Region of Eritrea. It may be oftenly used as a name for Eritrean females.

"Semhar" is a term used to describe an individual of extremely bad hygienic practices.

Eritrean folklore tells the story of a young female who suffered from said extremely bad hygienic practices. It is believed by many Eritrean gypsies that the former province of Semhar was indeed engulfed by the Northern Red Sea due to these very potent fumes emitting from the young Semhar.
