Groundcrew

In aviation, the groundcrew is the support crew supplying the aircraft with fuel and maintenance, as opposed to the aircrew.

In airlines, ground crew members include:Fact|date=August 2007
*Airframe and powerplant technicians
*Avionics technicians
*Baggage handlers
*Rampers
*Gate agents
*Ticket agents
*Passenger service agents (such as airline lounge employees)
*Flight dispatchers

Some ground crew members are responsible for cleaning the runway of small metal parts lost from aircraft, in order to prevent Foreign Object Damage.Fact|date=August 2007

In the Air Force, the Ground Crew consists of two members: the Crew Chief ("A" man) and a Weapons Tech or Specialist ("B" man). These two individuals work together to launch and recover the aircraft.
