M. J. Kang

M. J. Kang

M.J. Kang is a playwright and actress born in Seoul, Korea, but later immigrated to Toronto, Canada.

Her plays include "Noran Bang: The Yellow Room" (Dora Award nomination for Outstanding New Play 1998), "Blessings" and "dreams of blonde & blue".

She performed in the Off-Broadway hit, "Private Jokes, Public Places" in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Toronto, and is reprising the same role (which was written for her and is semi-biographical) at [http://www.auroratheatre.org/ The Aurora Theatre] in Berkeley, California, running from April 6, 2007 through May 13, 2007.

She is married to Oren Safdie.
