Carman Collegiate

Carman Collegiate, founded in 1964, is the main secondary school in the town of Carman, Manitoba. It consists of over 400 students from grades 7-12. The current principal is Jack Phillips and the vice principal is Lise Mcnair. The school is a part of Prairie Rose School Division. The name for all school sports is the Carman Cougars. Notable alumni of the now not quite as successful school hockey team include Ed Belfour and current bison player Stewart Thessien. Coach Lyle Myers has trained many Quad A provincial winning cross country and basketball teams. In the early 70's, Carman was constantly ranked 2nd in the province in Provincial School Exams, with the help of its astounding English faculty and Science Facility.] . In all sports, Carman Collegiate is a part of Manitoba Zone 4.
