History

Kennebunk Savings Bank's main office at 104 Main Street used to hold Both Ocean National Bank & Kennebunk Savings Bank.Banking laws have changed since those days. The Bank building was either sold or given to Kennebunk SavingsBank. Ocean National Bank relocated next door at 100 Main Street. At this current time Kennebunk's Main office is stillmaintained at 104 Main Street.Since the opening of the original branch in Kennebunk, Kennebunk Savings Bank has expanded to 15 branches, all located within York County, Maine. Ocean National Bank was renamed back to Ocean Bank. Ocean Bank today is located in York County, Maine and Southern New Hampshire (Vermont Border to Maine). The 2 banks have maintained a long history in the town of Kennebunk, dating back to 1854 & 1871.
