Low Budget (also known as Low Budget Productions) is a collective of Hip hop musicians based in the Washington D.C. area. The crew formed around the early 2000s and released several 12"s including Critically Acclaimed's "Flashback", and Kev Brown's "Nightfall". Members of the crew then signed with DJ Jazzy Jeff's "A Touch Of Jazz" Productions, and contributed largely to his 2002 album, "The Magnificent", before branching out to different labels such as Halftooth Records and Up Above Records. The first all-round Low Budget release was producer Kev Brown's "I Do What I Do", in 2005, followed by Kenn Starr's "Starr Status", in 2006. Rapper Cy Young's debut album "Exactly!" is expected sometime in 2007, as well as "Random Joints", a follow up EP from Kev Brown.
