Cleveland Business Radio

Cleveland Business Radio is a radio show broadcast on WHK in Cleveland, Ohio each Saturday morning. In 2006, the show attained non-profit status as a part of Cleveland Business Review, a 501(c)3 Ohio corporation. The program focuses on continuous improvement of Northeast Ohio’s environment and economy through communication.

The show began in 2004 at Cleveland radio station WERE with hosts Doug Magill and Paul DeLuca, and producer Kathleen Haley. In March 2006, the program moved to WHK following a format change at WERE. The main segment of the show is an interview, usually of persons in the business field in Northeast Ohio, although non-profit organizations, cultural organizations, political representatives, and journalists have also been featured. Shorter segments include announcements of local events of interest, review of financial markets, review of interesting business topics, and a humorous segment that looks at the lighter side of business. The program also features commentary from the hosts.

Most of the interviews are taped and edited down, and in most cases, guests are interviewed in the studio. Topics generally include entrepreneurial activity in Northeast Ohio and the various organizations designed to help foster business and economic development in the region. The guest list includes representatives from Northeast Ohio organizations such as the Cleveland Foundation, the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, JumpStart, The Entrepreneurship Preparatory School, and The Greater Cleveland Partnership.
