Iain Farrington

Iain Farrington (born 1977) is a British pianist, organist, composer and arranger. He works regularly with some of the country's leading singers, instrumentalists and choirs, both in concert and as a répétiteur, as well as giving solo recitals. He is also the principal accompanist for the London Philharmonic Choir.

He studied piano accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music, London with Michael Dussek and Andrew West. He was Organ Scholar at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle and Organ Scholar at St John's College, Cambridge. He has since performed at Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room, the Proms 2004, the Royal Opera House, Harewood House, St David's Hall, Cardiff, and in Japan, South Africa, and Jordan. He has made numerous recordings for Naxos Records and Nimbus Records. He has won a number of accompaniment prizes.

His organ suite, "Fiesta!," has been performed extensively and two movements have been recorded on Hyperion. He has made over eighty arrangements for organ, piano and chamber ensembles on works from composers such as Mozart, Bizet, Elgar and Gershwin.
