Hassan Hamdy is the 13th and current president of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Sporting Club. He was the vice president of the club during Saleh Selim's presidency and the chairman of Al-Ahram advertising agency which is part of the Al-Ahram association and the president of the International Advertising Association (IAA)'s Cairo branch. Player

Hamdy was not strange to football. He contributed greatly to the growing popularity of Al Ahli club and his name spread and consolidated its position among the masses in Egypt and throughout the Arab world to provide for the club and stars spherical and administrative leaders who commanded Ahli over the years. Hamdy became one of the symbols of the club's history which extends inside the walls of the club to more than 42 uninterrupted years since joining the team in beginners under 14 years in 1962. He earned the title "Minister of Defense" after joining the team's first season 1971-72, and played his first game in front of Damietta. He has been with the first team in league championship for six seasons, playing 107 games during season and the last three seasons are the most prominent in his life. In the following year Hamdy played in Al Ahli in the beginning of the path in front of 32 Somalians in Mogadishu and the match ended in a tie on February 19, 1977. The fifth and final African match were played in a meeting with Tripoli on May 21. Hamdy retired from soccer in 197 after a long GOI that it was better than filling Center backers Khash in Egypt.

Director of Football

Hassan Hamdy took the post of Director of the Game momentarily caught up on June 17, 1979 and was preparing youngest holder of this office in Egypt, where Egyptian clubs had not completed general session, after which time many felt it to be one of the difficult tasks, which are the responsibility of the leadership of the largest and most powerful group in Egypt. Hamdy took a decision to have a meeting between Ahly and Zamalek in the role of 8 Egypt Cup in 1985. Al Ahly defeated El Zamalek on August 4, 1985. Hamdy returned in the elections held in November 15, 1996 and was elected as an agent and won 6219 votes, the highest votes in the history of the club elections. In the November 2000 elections, Hamdy returned to assert his position inside the Ahli Club, where he was elected vice-president by a significant margin over his closest rivals.

President of Al Ahly

After the departure of Saleh Selim on May 6, 2002, Hassan Hamdi submitted a nomination for the presidency. The club members renewed their confidence in Hasan Hamdi in the elections of December 17, 2004.
