Program for Exceptionally Gifted Students

The St. Louis Regional "Program for Exceptionally Gifted Students" is a St. Louis based program that opened its doors in 1991. It is housed in the Lindbergh School District and Pattonville School District.

Application Requirements

Students must have a 140+ IQ to apply. They must also live in St. Louis City/County, St. Charles City/County, or Jefferson County. Students entering 1st through 8th grade may apply.

Curriculum

PEGS provides:

*Accelerated learning through curriculum compacting
*Training in critical and creative thinking skills
*Creative projects
*Special assistance with social/emotional growth
*Mentors for learning enrichment and extension
*Mainstreaming for fine arts/physical education

election

Students will be selected based on intelligence tests, classroom examinations, and academic performance.

Sperreng Middle School is located at 12111 Tesson Ferry RoadSt. Louis, MO 63128.

The facility at Sperreng Middle School Currently Has Three PEGS Teachers.
