Dirty electronic

Dirty electronic

Dirty electronic is a style of electronic music produced using distorted/gritty synthesizer and drum machine sounds, while maintaining a lead-vocal-driven pop song structure. Lyrics often contain controversial/offensive lyrics. A cousin of Synthpop, Electroclash, Industrial and, in some ways, Nerdcore, this genre of music is also often characterized by its vocal frustration with the current influence of conservatism and Christianity in the United States.

Some names in dirty electronic music include The Wrongstars Society, The Chemical Brothers and Oliver Kroke. It is also noted that dirty electronic is used by artists such as Aphex Twin, The Prodigy and smaller artists like Boys Noize, Housemeister, the Crookers, Machines don't care and Eoin Bishop. Many hard dance artists tend to use more and more dirty electronic sounds and music progresses.
