NONMEM is a software package developed by Stuart L. Beal and Lewis B. Sheiner in the late 1970s at UCSF for population pharmacokinetical modeling.[1][2][3][4] Its name is an acronym for non-linear mixed effects modeling and has become the "gold standard", both in the pharmaceutical industry and academia.
