Rosemary S.J. Schraer

Rosemary S.J. Schraer (1924 - April 1992) was born near Utica in upstate New York. She was sister to Lory Black. She was married to Harald Schraer in 1952. She was the fifth Chancellor of the University of California, Riverside from 1987 - 1992. She was the first female Chancellor in the University of California system.

*Ph.D., Biochemistry, Syracuse University (1953) Organized first Graduate Student Association in the Biochemstry Department and was its first president. She was also elected president of the Graduate Association.
