Episode recap

Jon’s aunt and uncle send him a fresh lobster from a restaurant called Lobster on Wings. Jon happily accepts, because the lobster was delivered by an attractive woman in a lobster costume. Jon boils water and opens the lid on the pot the lobster came in to retrieve the lobster, and he soon discovers that the lobster is alive. After Garfield and Jon try to push the lobster into the water anyway, they then decide not to do it. Jon initially decides to return the lobster, but he’s afraid that someone else will eat it. He then decides to donate it to the city aquarium, but he soon learns that half the city already had that idea.
Jon then decides to adopt the lobster, and he names it Therm (after his favorite dish, Lobster Thermidor). After everyone adapts to Therm, they notice that he hadn’t eaten since he arrived, so Jon decides to take him home. They all fly to Maine, and they let Therm free in the ocean. Jon then suggests that they all eat dinner at a salad bar in honor of Therm.

Notes

*At the airport, Garfield is dressed like Charlie Brown; and he says, “Good grief!” when Therm pops his head out of his pot.
