Jerome Rose (born
1938 ) is one of America's most distinguished pianists and has been heard in major concert halls across five continents. A Gold Medalist from the International Busoni Competition, Mr. Rose began his international career while still in his early twenties. He has appeared with such orchestras as theBerlin Philharmonic ,Munich Philharmonic ,Vienna Symphony , and the Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome. A frequent visitor to London, he has appeared with the London Philharmonic, London Symphony, and the Royal Philharmonic.A pupil of
Adolph Baller , Mr. Rose debuted with theSan Francisco Symphony at the age of 15. AMannes College andJuilliard School of Music graduate, Mr. Rose also studied withLeonard Shure andRudolf Serkin atMarlboro Music School . He was aFulbright Scholar in Vienna as well. Mr. Rose has given masterclasses at theMoscow Conservatory , theChopin Academy in Warsaw , the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Munich Hochschule, and is a frequent guest at the Toho Conservatory of Music in Tokyo, Japan. He is on the Faculty of theMannes College of Music and is Founder/Director of theInternational Keyboard Institute & Festival held every summer in New York City.
