St. Clare's Monastery

St. Clare's Monastery is a Franciscan monastery in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada. It also goes by the name "Poor Clare Sisters." They are a community of religious women who live the charism of Saint Clare and Saint Francis of Assisi.

In 1912, three Sisters came to Victoria, British Columbia, and established on December 8, 1912 the first English speaking Monastery of the Primitive Observance of St. Clare in Canada. From Victoria the community relocated in 1973 to their present location in Duncan.
