Cressida Bell (born 1959) is an English artist and designer, specializing in textiles and interiors.
She is the daughter of critic, author and artist Quentin Bell and Anne Olivier Bell. She is the granddaughter of Vanessa Bell and grandniece of Virginia Woolf.[1]
She studied at Middlesex Polytechnic, St. Martins School of Art and finally at the Royal College of Art in London, where she graduated in 1984 with an MA in textile design.[2]
Her work is influenced by the heritage of the Bloomsbury Group. Her grandmother was the artist Vanessa Bell and her grandfather the critic Clive Bell, and the collections at Charleston Farmhouse were a strong influence on her.
