- Harry Huge
Harry Huge, is a practicing attorney with offices in
Charleston, South Carolina . Huge’s distinguished law career has included service as an arbitrator appointed by 26 states to the National Tobacco Arbitration Panel, under the nationwideMaster Settlement Agreement . He also was appointed as Special Master for theU.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in a case involving the crash of a U.S. Air Force plane in Vietnam that was carrying Vietnamese orphans to the United States at the end of the Vietnam war. Huge was chairman of theUnited Mine Workers Health and Retirement Fund, which provided health and pension benefits to more than a million coal miners and their families.Huge is currently co-counsel representing some 4,000 family members of the victims of the
September 11, 2001 attacks in theUnited States District Court for the Southern District of New York . In late 2002, he was appointed co-prosecutor with the Chief German Federal Prosecutor by the German Federal Criminal Court in the trials ofHamburg cell terrorists. In other capacities, he served from 1977 – 1981 as a member of the President’s General Advisory Committee on Arms Control and Strategic Weapons.Three books have been written about his trial work. Huge was also recently awarded the Fourth Class
Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana fromEstonia for his work on behalf of that nation’s drive toward independence.Huge is a graduate of
Nebraska Wesleyan University where he was a member ofPhi Kappa Tau fraternity and of theGeorgetown Law School .
