|RPI TV is a student-run
closed-circuit television station atRensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). The club generates and schedules broadcasting of content on campus cable channel 6, which originates from the campus cable plant run by Multimedia Services. RPI TV is funded by the Rensselaer Union.RPI TV films and broadcasts a variety of campus events, including football games, hockey games, cultural events, Student Senate meetings, and the annual GM/PU candidate debates. The club also produces its own programs, such as "What's Up, RPI?". When not airing a live or prerecorded program, the channel uses a bulletin board system for display of campus announcements in the form of slides submitted to RPI TV by campus organizations. RPI TV is not the provider of cable television on the campus; the club submits its content to Multimedia Services for airing.
Recently, RPI TV has been started making the library productions available on its website via flash player in an effort to allow those students without access to the campus channel and the general public to watch the productions.
RPI Athletics
