One of which was the installation, by [http://www.eaglepower.co.uk/ Eagle Power,] of a 6KW [http://www.provenenergy.co.uk Proven Wind Turbine] on a free standing 15M mast. This was made possible with help from the BERR's [http://www.lowcarbonbuildings.org.uk/home/ Low Carbon Buildings Program,] Langeled's 'Rural Communities Development Fund, [http://www.defra.gov.uk/rural/leader/index.htm Leader+] , [http://www.yorkshire-forward.com/www/index.asp Yorkshire Forward] , [http://www.hwrcc.org.uk/ Humber & Wolds Rural Community Council] and with vital help & guidance from Karen Wood the Rural Community's Officer from [http://www.eastriding.gov.uk/ The East Riding of Yorkshire Council]

The Turbine was installed on 20 February 2007 and powers Skeffling Village Hall, any excess is sold to the National Grid and the proceeds are used to help maintain & eventually replace the Turbine. The decision to use renewable energy was made with [http://www.iisd.org/rio+5/agenda/agenda21.htm 'Agenda 21' of the 1992 Rio Earth Summit] in mind, which has Sustainable Development at its heart.
