"Amalda bathamae" is a species of small deepwater sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Olividae, the olives.

Range of distribution

This species is endemic to New Zealand. It is found off eastern Otago.

Habitat

This olive is found at depths of between 450 and 550 m.

hell description

The shell is similar to "Amalda australis" except the spire is more broadly angled, the body whorl more inflated. The external colour pattern of the shell is also different, the spire being white, suffused with salmon, and the central band of the body whorl and interior of the aperture pink.

The shell height is up to 31 mm, and the width up to 17 mm.
