rapid transit multiple unit used onOslo T-bane inOslo ,Norway . The stock is produced by Siemens who started delivery in 2007 (First two set delivered in 2005) and will deliver 78 three-car units until end of 2010. The stock will replace the existing stock used by Oslo T-bane.There are an option for at least 20 three-car units and possibly as many as (Total) 117 three-car units by the end of 2015.
At the opening of Oslo T-bane in 1966 Oslo Sporveier bought
T1000 units that will not have been replaced until the delivery of the new MX3000 units. All the T1000 and T1300 units will be replaced with the MX3000. Indications from politicians indicate that the city will order more units to be able to increase the frequency of the rapid transit in the future.Currently, MX sets are used on metro lines 3, 4, 5 and 6 (4 and 6 are connected by the ring line). Line 2 is only served by older stock because of certain issues with on-board cameras, which is not supported on all stations (while line 1 is carrying another power system and is not in the near future supposed to be served by MX). As well, when leaving
Jernbanetorget ,Grønland andTøyen stations, there is a thrust limit of 40 %, due to power issues. As of 2008, the rectifiers supplying DC power fail if too many long MX sets run at the same time, as the stock draws more energy than the older stock. The rectifiers are currently being overhauled to remove this limit.pecifications
