Slava Koran ( _be. Слава Корань, IPA2|'sɫava 'koranʲ; born on
December 16th 1955 ) is a Belarusian rock musician.He was born in
Pskov ; his mother was a teacher of history, his father was a doctor. Finished School No.30 ofMinsk , then the faculty of automation and computer engineering of Radio-Technical Institute (Minsk) receiving a diploma in "Automated Systems of Management".Learned to play
piano in Music school No.1 of Minsk(1962 -1969 ), but then decided to switch to guitar. In1968 started playing in a school band, then continued his music experiments in RTI. In1981 founded "Lift" music band, which played in Minsk cafe "Metidian" under the supervision of organization "Orientir". At this time there were only 3 cafes in which live music was played: "Meridian", "Suzorje" and cafe of Belarusian Polytechnic Institute. In1982 started to play guitar in band "Studio 7" - band of Belarusian Theater and Arts Institute, which in1984 was renamed into "BONDA".He left BONDA in
1988 with Siarhei Krauchanka, Valery Tsinitski and together with them, as well as withFelix Aksentsev , Kirill Shevando and Andrey Patrey created the rock-bandULIS , in which he continues playing now. He was the author of the music of the most of songs ULIS ever played.In
1993 ULIS splitted, and almost all initial musicians left the band - with the exception of Slava Koran. After that he became a lead-singer and author of texts of ULIS songs. This opinion of the community was divided about this fact. ULIS invited new musicians, and their composition has changed several times.Married: one son. Calls himseld a "happy person"
