Uzbekistani presidential election, 2000

Presidential elections were held in Uzbekistan on 9 January, 2000. Unsurprisingly they were won by Islom Karimov of the Self-Sacrifice National Democratic Party, who gained almost 92% of the vote. His only challenger was Abdulhafiz Jalolov.
