United States of Europe (1632 series)

The United States of Europe (USE) is a fictional federation and Empire in the 1632 series created Eric Flint. It formed out of the "16inst|Confederated Principalities of Europe" (CPoE), which was composed of many of the roughly 1800 German political units of the Holy Roman Empire of the 1630s. It was founded by several late 20th century-early 21st century Americans who were displaced into mid-seventeenth century Europe due to an incident involving an Assiti Shard. They based the structure of the USE loosely on the United States Constitution, taking 17th century politics into account.

The capital of the USE is Magdeburg. The first Prime Minister of the USE is Mike Stearns. The Emperor of the USE is Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden.
